EZee Life™ Transport chairs are commonly referred to as companion chairs but regardless of what they are called, they are basically small lightweight wheelchair that are designed for a caregiver to use to transport a patient from one place to another.

A standard weight for a transport chair will be around 25 lbs but the lightweight models can be less than 20 lbs. The Ezee Life transport chairs fold and the footrests can be removed to make them easy to transport in vehicles or store away in the home.

Transport chairs do not provide any independent mobility for the user because the wheels are usually a set of four 8" casters instead of the normal large/small wheel combination found on conventional wheelchairs.

Because the transport chair have these small wheels, these chairs do not roll well on rough or soft terrain. If there is an expectation that travelling on rough or soft terrain may be a fairly regular occurrence or independent mobility is a goal then a manual wheelchair may be a more suitable purchase.

Standard Footrests

EZee Life™ standard transport chairs come standard with swing-away, removable footrests with flip-up, adjustable height footplates.

Footrest Adjustment

When adjusted properly, the distance from the top of the seating surface to the top of the footplate should equal the distance from the back of the knee when seated to the bottom of the foot. Measurements should be taken while the user is wearing their most common footwear.

EZee Life™ Limited Warranty

EZee Life™ products carry a one year warranty against manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship.

In the event of a defect covered by this warranty, we will, at our option, repair or replace the item. Please contact your supplier/dealer for assistance should a defect become apparent.

The warranty does not extend to consequential costs resulting from the fault or defect in the product, in particular freight and travel costs, loss of earnings, expenses or other expenses which may occur.

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear resulting from normal use or damage caused by accident, misuse, negligence or improper installation or assembly.

The vendor/manufacturer will not accept responsibility for any damages or injury caused by misuse, negligence or non-observance of the instructions supplied.
